فلسفة الدين والعلم والقرآن في معرفة الحقائق

الملخص

This research tackles a dilemma engraved in human thought and moved into the collective mind of Islamic communities. This dilemma is the idea of the clash of science with religion. Although it is true that many facts could never be realised and recognised without science. Yet, does that mean science can play the role of religion in our life? This is the main question around which the research revolves.
The research is divided into two section. The first section studies the relationship between religion and science In the Renaissance and how the latter refuted many of the dominant beliefs that the church adopted
The research also tackles a similar case in Islamic contemporary culture and thought, related to approaching knowledge in religious texts. The Quran is rich with texts about existence, the creation of the universe, the creation of man, atoms and other important facts and phenomena. The research argues that these texts prove the limited capabilities of the human mind as it mainly reacts to appearances while unseen worlds remain out of reach. It also discusses with analysis the role of Arabic language as a key to understanding the enfolded messages of the Quran. The language and style in the Quran proved validity over ages in addressing the human mind openly and flexibly. From this point the research generates its research nature: studying the scientific miracles in the Quran in a modern logical method
Section two studies all the scientific issues raised in the Quran and the language through which they are presented. The research also focuses on the theories of materialists in this respect, especially their belief that thought is generated by the senses and that material and senses precede the process of thinking. In replying to these theories, the research proves that thought and mental
awareness are yet deeper and more comprehensive than the world of senses. Mental activities are related to the spiritual power, which remains also one of the scientific miracles on which the Quran sheds light. All these issues are undertaken in an analytical and argumentative manner
